When he was little he was pulled into Limbo and was sentenced to the 9th circle of hell due to treachery for turning against his everyone in his family except for his little sister who was on her death bed. He somehow escaped but to come back to find that his family had left his sister who was just hanging on a fine piece of thread. She gave him the family ring as a keepsake just as she died. He then travels keeping to himself searching for his family to get revenge for his sister. As a side effect of escaping hell his old blanket got a mind of its own and became his muffler. Also his shoulder angel and devil can materialise on his shoulders for anyone to see, but only he can hear them.
